Homeowners ask us a lot of the same questions. Here are the ones we hear most. If yours isn’t here, give us a call.
Ask us a questionWill window film make my rooms dark?
Not unless you want it to. 3M makes clear films that let most of the daylight through while they reject heat and UV. Darker shades are there for rooms that need more glare control.
Is the film installed inside or outside?
Most home installs go on the inside of the glass. 3M also makes an exterior Prestige film for glass where an interior film isn’t recommended. We’ll tell you which one your windows need.
Can I still see out at night?
Yes. Films like 3M Night Vision are designed with low interior reflectivity, so you see the view at night instead of your own reflection.
How do I clean filmed windows?
Wait about 30 days for the film to cure. After that, a soft cloth or squeegee and an ordinary glass cleaner are all you need. Skip anything abrasive.
What does window film cost?
It depends on the film and how much glass you have. The in-home visit and quote are free, so you see a real number before you decide.
