Glare Reduction Window Film
Sun glare washes out TVs, bounces off computer screens and makes you squint at a book. 3M glare control film tones down the harsh light and keeps the room bright, so you can stop opening and closing the blinds all day.

How glare reduction film works
Glare comes from too much visible light reaching your eyes or your screen at once. Film lowers the amount of visible light that passes through the glass. Darker films cut more glare, and lighter films cut a little while keeping the room bright. 3M’s Prestige films are made of hundreds of thin layers that sort the light, so you lose the glare without the dim, tinted look.
- Clearer TV and computer screens
- Comfortable reading light
- Up to 99% of UV blocked
- Low interior reflectivity at night
Film options for glare reduction
How much glare control you need depends on the room. A home office facing west needs a different film from a living room with morning sun.
3M suggests its Night Vision, Ceramic and Prestige films for glare. We’ll show you samples on your own windows before you choose.

How Engineered Group handles glare
We visit when the glare is happening if we can. We look at where your screens sit and how the light moves through the room, then hold film samples up to the glass so you can see the difference before anything goes on.
